Membership Cards

New membership cards were issued as part of a previous season's membership campaign, please ensure you keep this card for the 2024/25 racing season. If you are a new member, you will receive a membership card in the mail. Please use this card to access Flemington racecourse and the Members Enclosure. A reference to these cards can be found below.

The loss or theft of Membership Cards or Car Passes, must be reported to the VRC Membership Department as soon as possible so that unauthorised use can be prevented.

A replacement Membership Card or Car Pass will be issued upon receipt of an email, explaining the circumstances of the loss via membership@vrc.net.au.

A fee of $30 is required for the replacement of a Membership or Guest Card, unless the card was stolen and a copy of a police report is included.

A fee of $10 is payable for a replacement Car Pass. 

Should you forget your physical Membership Card on a race day, we encourage you to use your digital Membership Card to enter Flemington racecourse. If you have been unable to download your digital Membership Card, please visit Membership Services located at your gate entry to be provided with entry into the course and Members Enclosure. 

Should you experience any problems with your Membership or Guest card admitting you to the Members Enclosure, please proceed to Membership Services at the relevant entry gate where the matter will be addressed.

Please remember that every Membership Cards is strictly non-transferable. We do frequently conduct random audit checks within the Members’ Enclosure on race days.

The misuse of a Membership Card is a serious breach of Club rules. Offenders will be referred to the VRC Disciplinary Committee which could result in suspension or loss of Membership privileges.

Members are urged to respect others within the Members Enclosure by not using offensive or discriminatory language, or indulging in any kind of unseemly or anti-social behaviour.

Any behaviour deemed unacceptable will be referred to the VRC Disciplinary Committee for action. Unseemly behaviour may also result in the offender being escorted from the racecourse.

Members are reminded that they are responsible for the behaviour of the guests they introduce into the Members’ Enclosure, including the Members’ Reserved Car Park Enclosures.

As an extension of the Victorian Government’s Tobacco Act, the VRC has designated smoking areas across course. These areas have been determined with the strict legislation in mind and are denoted by clear signage.

The Club Stand is a no smoking zone. Members wishing to smoke or vape can head to the designated smoking area in the Public Betting Ring. Members are also welcome to utilise the designated smoking area on the Front Lawn. The Grandstand is a no smoking zone. Members wishing to smoke can head to the designated smoking area on Hill Square (outside The Hill Stand).

At all times, we ask that you maintain 1.5m distance from others, including staff.

BYO food is not permitted anywhere in The Club Stand, except for on the Members Lawn and the Members Betting Ring. BYO food is permitted in all venues in The Grandstand, except Atrium Dining.

Non-alocholic beverages in unopened cans or plastic bottles are permitted on the Members Lawn and in the Grandstand only, except Atrium Dining. Alcoholic beverages, glass containers or open beverage containers are not permitted to be brought into the course. 

Each venue within The Club Stand and The Grandstand has been pre-set to accommodate member preferences and a range of popular group and table sizes.

The movement of tables is not permitted for the below reasons:

  • impact on customer service flow
  • customer circulation to access amenities

Within reason chairs may be moved unless the movement impacts any of the above 2 points. Venue staff can assist.

Please also note that the holding of tables by placing personal items (coats, umbrellas, hats, papers) for members that have not yet arrived, is not permitted.

Members and their guests must observe the Liquor Licensing Regulations in place at Flemington Racecourse. The VRC and its caterers follow guidelines for Responsible Service of Alcohol.

By law, staff members must not serve any alcoholic beverages to guests under the age of 18, or to guests deemed to be in a state of intoxication.

In addition to any action taken by police, disciplinary action will be taken by the VRC Disciplinary Committee against Members and/or guests who are in breach of the Liquor Licensing Regulations applicable to Flemington Racecourse.

Phar Lap Club Members can use their membership card to access the course and Membership Enclosure.

On racedays, neatly dressed children up to 11 years old may be admitted to the Members’ Enclosure free of charge but will require a ticket which can be accessed via Membership Services at the relevant entry gate. provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

While in the Members' Enclosure, children aged 12-17 must hold either:

  • A valid Guest Card
  • A Junior Members Card
  • Or a Members Enclosure Daily Guest Pass.

Children will not be admitted to the ‘Members Only’ areas and must be supervised at all times.

Additionally, The G.H. Mumm Champagne Bar located on Level One of The Club Stand is an 18+ venue, and children will not be admitted.

Children 12 years and older are required to follow the same dress regulations as that of an adult.

Utilising your membership privileges

Members Dining venues can be booked via Ticketmaster for each race day, using the barcode on your membership card and any other membership barcodes of their group to access the member price. Members can also purchase guest ticketing or redeem their complimentary guest tickets during the same transaction.

Members can purchase Members Unreserved Car pass via the online portal for $111 or an Annual Reserved Car pass for $976. More information can be found here. 

Members will need to visit https://www.ticketmaster.com.au/vrc to book guest passes* into the Members enclosure on race day. VRC members will need to enter in their membership barcode after selecting the race day they are looking to attend and select the number of guests they are looking to bring. Alternatively, members can redeem up to 10 complimentary guest tickets using the barcodes provided to them with their membership.
*Standard fees for a guest pass are $55 and $65 for Group 1 race days.

No. Cash on card balances for financial members will not expire and are rolled over from season to season for use on food and beverage on course.

Members will increase their cash on card balance through a variety of offers and promotions throughout the racing season. These include a tenure bonus for renewing, referring a new member, attendance competitions and more.
