We are changing the way we inform local residents about upcoming music and other non-race day events being held at Flemington Racecourse, to ensure we are providing more up-to-date information about any events that may have impact on the local community.

Key Changes:

• Physical Letter Box Drops to residents will now be issued bi-annually in August and January

• Improved information available on our website including information about traffic management and road closures, event operating hours soundcheck times, and how to contact us during an event

Understanding Noise Impacts

The Environmental Protection Agency is the governing body that guides entertainment venues and events to ensure noise does not exceed noise limits.

For each event we host, we work with the event organiser on noise modelling to minimise the impact on our residents. There are several factors that can affect noise bleed, including wind, rain and stage positions.

If the noise is impacting you at your place of residence, you can call 03 8378 0623, and we can send a noise consultant to run a noise reading over a 15-minute period to assess its compliance. All readings will be reported to the Environmental Protection Agency.

Assistance during major events

• Please contact our Resident Response Hotline (03) 8378 0623 to report any anti-social, noise or cleaning related issues.

• The resident hotline will be open for all major events playing amplified music (from the time music begins).

Local parking restrictions

• Events area parking restrictions will apply on all race days and major outdoor events held at Flemington Racecourse. For more information see the Moonee Valley City Council website.
