She continues to showcase her passion for horses by spending her downtime training and competing former racehorses in showjumping.
One of those thoroughbreds is Dollar for Dollar, whom Jamie rode throughout his career including a win at Flemington during the 2017 Melbourne Cup Carnival, before their partnership transitioned into the showjumping arena.
Jamie said she was delighted to use her platform to promote the Melbourne Cup Carnival and equine sports.
“I genuinely love horses and am excited to showcase the elite athleticism that thoroughbreds are capable of,” Ms Kah said.
“The Melbourne Cup Carnival is one of the biggest weeks on the racing calendar, so I am looking forward to taking in the atmosphere of Cup Week and competing at Flemington.
“I’ve loved being part of this year’s Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour and sharing the People’s Cup with people in regional communities who may never get to Flemington has been extra special.”
As part of her role with the VRC Jamie will support the Melbourne Cup Carnival broadcast on Channel Nine, providing exclusive access to her pre-race trainer briefings and wearing a jockey cam for some of the week’s biggest races. Jamie’s time on the road as part of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour included visits to Murray Bridge, Nathalia and Trentham where she shared the magic of the People’s Cup with local residents.
