BRUCE GADSDEN HANDICAP
DUCHESS ZOU (2) is getting up in the weights but has found her niche her past couple and won well. Soft-heavy ground at 1400m where she can sit on speed and kick away is her sweet spot which she did nicely again here last time as favourite. She should do similarly here and can make it a hattrick. FIRST CHORUS (8) is tricky. She's a good mare who won dominantly as favourite at Caulfield when last seen but has been scratched two Saturdays in a row with a foot issue. If she's right she's good enough albeit back in trip isn't ideal. STYLISH (6) chased home Duchess Zou first up in a good effort and has claims with added fitness. CHANGING COLOURS (10) resumes, now with the Yeomans yard. Her best form is good enough and she gets a nice set up here. IT'S A KNOCKOUT (4) wasn't far away fresh and has the peaks to challenge, interesting that Jabez Johnstone hops off Duchess Zou and sticks with her.
