Race Preview

We kick off Champions Day with a typically tough 2yo affair, most on debut. ANGELIC RISE (7) looks a handy filly on debut for the Hayes yard. She was very soft when winning an official trial at Caulfield Heath recently when others were ridden out. The fact that red-hot Mark Zahra sticks with her from that trial is a good lead. STREISAND (6) has race experience which helps having run very well on debut here, also getting the straight track experience. Better for that and gets the rail. BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (2) is a colt by Prague on debut for the McEvoy yard. Damian Lane booked off some solid trial form, he can win. FREE FLYING (5) comes through the Debutant Stakes at Caulfield and that form provided the winner of the 2yo race on Cup day. Keeping safe. CALAMARI RING (9) is a Street Boss filly on debut who swept to the lead in a Cranbourne jumpout and looks to have a motor.
